RNCM Call for Scores

September 16, 2015 in All Opportunities, Composers by newmusicscotland

Invitations are requested for composers to submit works for the RNCM John Golland Award 2016.

Composers aged 18 – 30 are invited to submit new, or previously unperformed, works for A4 Brass Quartet (Cornet, Tenor Horn, Baritone, Euphonium), to be given workshop performances on Saturday 30 January 2016 at the RNCM in Manchester, as part of the RNCM Brass Band Festival. Selected works should be a maximum of eight minutes in duration, and up to four works will be selected, depending on length and complexity.

The selection panel will also select one composer as the recipient of the third John Golland Award. This will take the form of a £500 sum and an invitation to write a short work for brass band to be performed at a future Festival.

For more information on the ensemble you will be writing for, please visit A4 Brass Quartet’s website: a4brassquartet.co.uk
