Aquila Summer Concert Series Call for Scores

The Aquila Summer Concert Series is announcing a call for scores for their 2015 season.

The Aquila Summer Concert Series is a new music festival located in Greeley, Colorado. Now in its 4th year, this music festival strives to bring new music to audiences in fascinating and accessible ways. This summer concert series features new music from living composers all around the country. With concerts taking placing at multiple local businesses around Greeley, the Aquila Summer Concert Series strives to show what the community has to offer. From new music to uniquely local small businesses, the Aquila Summer Concert Series presents Greeley in a way that captivates those from out of town and surprises those who call Greeley their home.

Performance Dates:

Rock n’ Roll Greeley – June 25th
This concert features the best Rock n’ Roll that new music has to offer. Featuring composers like John Zorn, Peter van Zant Lane, and JacobTV, Rock n’ Roll Greeley is sure to excite even the staunchest of new music critics.

Celebrating Diversity: Minorities in New Music – July 9th
Modern classical music includes musicians and composers from more varied backgrounds and cultures than any point in history. Celebrating Diversity: Minorities in New Music brings to the forefront traditionally underrepresented voices in classical music.

Colorado Composer’s Concert – July 30th
The best that Colorado has to offer! Featuring new music from Colorado composers and the winner of our 2015 Call for Scores, the concert will be sure to represent the diversity of new music coming onto the Colorado scene.

Eligibility:
Composers of any age, nationality or institutional affiliation. Applicants must like Aquila Summer Concert Series on Facebook in order to be eligible.
