Brass Quartet-Ensemble Seeking Works

Our quartet is looking of composers interested in composing music for brass quartet. Our quartet consists of college level musicians in southern California. Works MUST be original material from the composer submitting scores. At this time arrangements WILL NOT be considered. Composers are open to working with various styles (Fanfare, Theme and Variation, Cazona, Sonata, Concerto, Chorale, etc.). Multiple submissions are allowed and highly encouraged.

This is a free will call for submissions. There will be NO compensation for work(s) submitted to our ensemble. By submitting your music you (the composer) are giving consent to the ensemble to freely rehearse and perform the music in question.

Guidelines:
Open to all composers, regardless, of age or nationality.

Single movement works should 2-6 minutes in length. Multi-movement works should be no longer than 8-12 minutes in length.

Instrumentations: 2 Trumpets, Trombone, Tuba. Optional cornet/flugelhorn for trumpet, euphonium for trombone, bass trombone for tuba.

If writing for Trumpet in C, please provide Bb parts.

Please avoid writing for piccolo trumpet in A/Bb, Trumpet in Eb, Horn, mellophone, or alto trombone. Please REFRAIN from using ALTERNATE CLEFS such as alto or tenor clef when writing. Only use Treble and Bass clef.
