Call for scores: Choral composition workshop with BBC Singers & Judith Weir

Scores are now being accepted for Choir & Organ magazine’s Choral Composition Workshop, run by Master of the Queen’s Music, Judith Weir CBE, in partnership with the BBC Singers.

The BBC Singers, conducted by Matthew Hamilton, will workshop up to 6 choral compositions, pre-selected by Judith Weir and Michael Emery, BBC Singers Senior Producer, who will offer constructive feedback to the composers.

Criteria for submissions
Composers must be studying composition at undergraduate or postgraduate level at a university or conservatoire.

How to submit
Please send two hard copies of your score: one on unbound single-sided A4; one on double-sided A4 (stapled at the spine if appropriate). Please include your name on your scores and a covering letter with your contact details including email address and telephone number. If your piece is selected we will contact you by 14 August. Please do not submit originals. Scores will not be returned and should be clearly legible. By submitting your piece you confirm that you are available to attend the workshop on 1 September.
