Workshop with Ensemble Schallfeld
Tutor: Francesco Filidei
Workshop with selection procedure
For composers taking part in the Darmstadt Summer Course 2016
Maximum capacity: 4-5
Deadline for applications: 1 May 2016
Topics: New or already written (adapted) pieces for 3 bis 7 musicians that will be rehearsed and discussed with Ensemble Schallfeld and Francesco Filidei during a one-day workshop.

Ensemble Schallfeld invites composers to submit scores for its instrumentation: flute, clarinet, saxophone, piano, violin, cello and double bass. Pieces with smaller instrumentation (combinations) can be considered, but pieces for septet will be preferred.
With this Call for Scores, Schallfeld offers an opportunity to discuss and rehearse technical and aesthetic matters of contemporary chamber music composition with instrumentalists and composer Francesco Filidei during a one-day workshop. Every chosen piece will be studied, analyzed and discussed in a one-and-half-hour rehearsal with the ensemble, the composers and the tutor. Besides the didactical and compositional aspect, the chosen pieces will be elegible to be performed in upcoming international concerts of Schallfeld. Compositions that include Saxophone and Double bass are encouraged.
