Call for Scores: Vox Feminae Festival, Tel Aviv, Spring 2017

Pianist Tali Morgulis (Associate Professor of Piano at the University of Houston, and composer Alona Epshtein (Artistic Director of 2017 Vox Feminae Festival) are inviting women composers and multimedia artists of any age and nationality to send proposals of works to be featured on Spring 2017 Vox Feminae festival in Tel- Aviv. The Festival is organized by Israeli Women Composers Forum. The proposed works should be a personal interpretation of the concept ‘Shelter’. Available instrumentation: voice, piano, violin, and cello in any combination.Works with electronics and video as well as multimedia projects are wellcome. Maximum length of composition is 12 min.

For preliminary selection please send:
Proposal of up to 150 words describing your concept of the future composition
Short bio and/or link to a personal website
Link to up to 2 audio or video samples of your representative chamber works (soundstream or youtube format)

Deadline: June 1, 2016
The authors of selected proposals will be acknowledged by August 1, 2016.

If selected, composers will be asked to submit scores of completed compositions by December 1st, 2016. All music performed during the spring 2017 festival will be professionally recorded; composers will be given a copy of the recording of their works.
