Chorus Polaris Call for Scores

December 4, 2015 in All Opportunities, choral, Composers by mwhiteside

Chorus Polaris is performing Mozart’s Vesperae solennes de confessore, KV 339 in April with an ensemble of 2 trumpets, 3 trombones, violins, cello, bass, and organ (no violas). They are looking for music for instrumental music that might complement the Mozart: music for organ + trumpet(s), trombone(s), or strings. Choral music for brass and choir would be welcome, too.
In either case, submitted works should be:
between roughly 3 to 10 minutes in length, and
appropriate to complement Mozart’s Vesperae solennes de confessore – a set of 6 psalms for orchestra and chorus.
The instrumentations could be:
2 trumpets + 2 or 3 trombones
organ + 1 or 2 trumpets
organ + 2 trumpets + 2 or 3 trombones
organ + 1, 2, or 3 trombones
organ + 1 or 2 violins
organ + 1 cello
Scores submitted as PDFs are preferred, and should be sent John@ChorusPolaris.org
Hard copy scores can be mailed to:
