Composers Day: Inside the Score with Colin Matthews

Led by one of the UK’s most distinguished composers, Colin Matthews, and with contributions from composers Charlotte Bray and Matthew Kaner, the BSO and its new music ensemble, Kokoro, perform works selected following a call for scores; BSO musicians are on hand to discuss writing for specific instruments, Sound and Music’s Richard Whitelaw talks about collaborations and Hywel Davies, Kokoro’s composer-in-residence, introduces a different aspect of his compositional work-sound installations.
