Event Details

Live Music Now Scotland will be hosting 3 concerts in Edinburgh, where emerging artists will play specially commissioned new pieces to celebrate Menuhin’s centenary. This first concert on 22nd April falls on Menuhin’s birthday.

Scottish soprano Emily Mitchell and Maltese pianist Geoffrey Tanti met while studying at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and their partnership has blossomed from a great friendship. Emily and Geoffrey will perform Songs from Above and Below by John McLeod. This was a Baring Late Style commission, inspired by the mining heritage of West Lothian and Merthyr Tydfyll and premiered in August 2015.
