Naomi Pavri (cellist with the Scottish Ensemble) and husband Fali (keyboard professor at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland) bring together contemporary works from Scotland and India with two Romantic masterworks.

In her 1998 composition ‘Bridging the Day’, Sally Beamish evokes the effect of natural light from sunrise to sunset around her Scottish home. Kolkata-born John Mayer combines Indian and Western musical elements in his suite ‘Prabhanda’, based on Indian ragas.
