PARLOUR SOUNDS: WHEN HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCES BECOME INNOVATIVE ELECTRONIC INSTRUMENTS

A live multimedia event by Patricia Alessandrini using innovative electronics to transform and invent instruments in an imaginative exploration of women’s relationship to technology – from the advent of the home hi-fi to the smartphone. This world première performance which includes homemade electronic instruments will be followed by an after-show jam session to try out some of the electronics. Supported by Diaphonique, Creative Scotland, Sound and Music and the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation.
