The Composer’s Seminar – Getting money from your art?

16th January 2016

What is this event about?

As an emerging composer you are likely to have had or are receiving access to great resources to learn how to write in different styles, write for different instruments; really crafting your art while studying music. But how do you learn what will help advance your career? What are the key things to know about? What will be your key sources of income? How do protect the value of your music and promote yourself successfully as a composer?

Time for a reality check

There are so many things to consider from commissions to royalties, Grand Rights to Small Rights, PRS for Music and PPL, funding and festivals, publishing and synch.

There is so much more to consider beyond the inspiration to create new music
