“Classical beauty, baroque effervescence and contemporary grace characterise this rich programme from the youthful musicians of the Edinburgh University Singers and Chamber Orchestra. Claire McCue’s work, Kneeling, was first performed at Old St Paul’s Episcopal Church and is scored for solo clarinet and choir. It is based upon a poem by Welsh priest poet, R.S. Thomas and describes the sensation of waiting for God in a still and empty church.”
