HARTFORD NEW MUSIC FESTIVAL
Call for Scores: December 2015

The Hartford New Music Festival is currently accepting submissions for its fall season. This is the third of three score calls published by the Hartford New Music Festival for the fall 2015 concert season. The Hartford New Music Festival is a nonprofit organization devoted to promoting and championing new music, particularly in the Greater Hartford area.

Submission Guidelines:
1) One piece may be submitted that is entirely pre-recorded, or electroacoustic utilizing one live instrument.
*A 2.1 speaker configuration will be used, so if the work was originally in a surround format, please send a stereo mixdown.
*.wav and .aif files will be accepted.
*As file sizes can be very large, please use a file-sharing platform, such as Dropbox, and include a link in the body of the e-mail to download the file.
2) In lieu of an application fee, composers are asked to donate $5 to the HNMF Kickstarter (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2037982396/hartford-new-music-festi…). While all submissions will be reviewed and considered, preference will be given to donators.
3) Please submit pieces no later than August 8th, 2015 at 11:59PM. If donating please provide Kickstarter confirmation of donation.

Selection Process:
1) The directors will review all submissions and select a number of winning entries by August 31st, 2015. The score call is open to composers of all ages and nationalities. Submit materials to hnmf2015@gmail.com, please include “Call for Scores: December 2015” in the subject line.
2) Selected composers will be required to submit a short bio (150 word max), a brief program note (150 word max), and any pertinent tech requirements by September 31st, 2015 at 11:59PM. Failure to submit required materials before this time will result in removal from the program.
