November 10, 2015 in All Opportunities, Performers by mwhiteside

The London Ear festival of contemporary invites applications from advanced instrumentalists under the age of 25 to audition to be the festival’s Featured Young Performer for 2016.

London Ear is the only festival in the centre of London dedicated solely to contemporary classical music, its composition, performance, education and audience engagement. The festival’s Featured Young Performer project aims to identify and support outstanding young players, by offering them the following career advancing opportunities:

  • To perform a solo recital of recent music, lasting up to 45 minutes, in the presence of an invited audience of musically influential guests. This will be on March 9th, 2016, in The Cello Factory, Waterloo.
  •  Participate in a concert by Uroboros Ensemble, playing alongside world-class professionals, on March 13th, 2016, in The Warehouse, Waterloo.
  • Be the subject of a short profile article in the festival book.

Past Featured Young Performers have been subsequently engaged as soloists and ensemble members in later editions of London Ear.
