Multi Art Form/ Site Responsive Residency

We are seeking applications from Physical Performers, Dancers, Directors, Designers, Musicians, Composers and Circus Performers.

Conflux is inviting applications to participate in a residency on creating a site specific performance. Working with a wide range of arts disciplines, the residency will use the Tall Ship as its inspiration and the results of the residency will be shown on all three levels of the Tall ship as part Surge Festival Club on 2nd December 2016.

The residency will be led by world-class artists;

Overall Direction and Performance director – Hilary Westlake

Musical Direction and Composition – Stephen Deazley

Choreography – George Adams

Design – Alex Rigg

Circus – Aerial Edge

The residency will cover areas in each discipline that include:
Considerations and challenges working on a specific site project
Considerations and challenges involved when mixing multiple art forms
How to create material to a specific brief using multiple art forms
Skills training from professional mentors

Residency dates – Nov 28th to Dec 2nd 10pm – 6pm. Showing – Dec 2nd 8pm – 9pm.

Conflux will provide a structured residency, additional technical, stage management assistance, a contribution to travel expenses for participants based outside Glasgow and a predefined production budget.

Applicants should have;
Some training or experience in their chosen art form
An interest in site responsive work
An interest in multi art form work
An interest in pursuing a career in their chosen art form

Please state on your application which art form you wish to concentrate on. You may include a single link to media of your most fitting work for the area applied for.
