SEADOM Music Composition Competition 2015

SEADOM (Southeast Asian Directors of Music Association) is very pleased to announce a unique opportunity for young composers around Southeast Asia. We invite composers to write a symphonic band piece to be performed by the University of the Philippines Symphonic Band at the 2015 SEADOM Congress.

The composition should be of a duration of 3-5 mins and embrace the idea of cultural diversity and musical future within the Southeast Asian region. The work should be for standard concert band instrumentation and around Grade III-IV difficulty level. Participants should be affiliated with a SEADOM member institution and be under 25 years of age.

The winner will be invited to attend the premiere of this new work at the College of Music, University of the Philippines, Manila on the evening of 27th March 2015. All travel expenses will be covered by SEADOM.
