Southern Miss New Music Festival – Call for Scores

The University of Southern Mississippi will be hosting a new music festival in April of 2016 (Dates are TBA). The program will consist of three featured soloists and two ensembles.
Guidelines For All Submissions
-Live or midi recordings should be submitted along with scores.
-Fixed media submissions should be for four channels or less.
-Deadline is December 1st 2015
-All submissions should be sent to Oscar Erwin at usm.newmusicfestival2016@gmail.com
USM Saxophone Studio
Submission Guidelines
-Ensemble submissions should be no smaller than SAATBBs and no larger than SSAAAATTBBBs. Any instrumentation within this range will be considered.
-Pieces for solo Saxophone or saxophone and fixed media.
-No longer than 12 min.
USM Graduate Clarinet Ensemble
Submission Guidelines
-Written for four B-flat Clarinets or three B-flat clarinets and one bass clarinet.
-No longer than 10 min.
Clarinet Soloist Mike Gruetzner
Submission Guidelines
– Written for B-flat clarinet
-For solo clarinet or clarinet and fixed media.
-Duets will be considered
– No longer than 10 min.
Double Bass Soloist David Pellow
Submission Guidelines
-Written for solo Double Bass or Double Bass and fixed media.
-Pieces for two double basses will be considered.
-No longer than 10 minutes.
Solo Lyric Soprano Stacey Trenteseaux
Submission Guidelines
-Written for the soloist accompanied by piano or fixed media.
-No longer than 8 min.
-Text should be German, English, Italian or French.
-Range E3 to E-Flat 6
Miscellaneous
Pieces for violin, cello, viola, flute, percussion and oboe will be considered, but acceptance will depend on interested performers.
