The Bach Choir Composers’ Competition

The Bach Choir are pleased to invite composers of any age to submit an original work for adult SATB choir, children’s choir, and an ensemble of piano, bass, selected percussion, and solo flute/piccolo, lasting 15-20 minutes, telling the story of Robert Browning’s The Pied Piper of Hamelin.

The winning entrant will be invited to attend rehearsal(s) in person, where they will have the opportunity to workshop the piece with members of The Bach Choir and young people. The winning entry will be performed in a leading London venue in summer 2017.

The jury comprises David Hill (Musical Director, The Bach Choir), John Rutter (President, The Bach Choir), Nick Cutts (General Manager, The Bach Choir), Sam Wilcock (Creative Manager, Music Sales).
