Trumpet Festival of the Southeast Two Minute Premieres Project Call for Scores

The Trumpet Festival of the Southeast is issuing a call for works that involve one or two solo trumpets for the First Annual Two Minute Premiere Project. This will be a concert of up to 30 two-minute world premieres performed by university trumpet professors that make up the TFSE membership. Composers may use one or two trumpets of any variety (piccolo, B-flat, C, E-flat or flugelhorn) and the solos may be unaccompanied or accompanied by piano, electro-acoustic DVD or percussion (to be performed by one player only). Pieces longer than 2 – 2.5 minutes will not be considered. All pieces are expected to be new works that have not been previously performed or recorded.

Eligibility/Guidelines: Composers of any age and nationality may submit works. Submission deadline is August 14, 2015 with the premiere performances scheduled for January, 2016. Composers will be contacted by e-mail concerning acceptance by early November. There is no fee for score submission and scores that are chosen will receive no remuneration other than a premiere performance.
