Young Composers Fanfare competition

December 22, 2014 in All Opportunities, Composers by newmusicscotland

Calling all young composers – the Royal Opera House’s annual Fanfare competition is now open. Enter now for your chance to have your works professionally arranged, recorded and performed.

Musicians aged 11 to 16 are urged to submit a 30 second composition via the organisation’s website for consideration by the judges.

The deadline for entries is 13 February 2015.

Competition winners will work with professional composer Duncan Chapman and members of the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House to arrange their fanfares through a series of workshops.

They will then be recorded by the orchestra and music director Antonio Pappano, before being performed in front house spaces around the building.
