Repertoire The Pilgrim's Path, by Gemma McGregor
Description
Gemma McGregor has created a new work based around the story of St Magnus and which follows points on the Magnus Way – a pilgrimage route in Orkney which leads to St Magnus Cathedral and where the relics of Magnus are to be found. Against the backdrop of the Sails for St Magnus which are great canvases hung between the medieval pillars, the performers will present six new pieces whose titles are inspired by George Mackay Brown. The music will be interspersed with the spoken word.
