Repertoire Ecstatic Vision, by Stephanie Lamprea and Alistair Macdonald
Description

Ecstatic Visions is an album launch concert of new works for voice and electronics, performed by RCS alumna Stephanie Lamprea and RCS Composition professor Alistair MacDonald. The works in the concert are composed by RCS Governing Body member Robert Laidlow, Alistair MacDonald, Wende Bartley, Angélica Negrón, and Eric Chasalow. There will also be projected video art by Oana Stanciu during the concert, featuring performances by Lamprea and RCS alumnae Anne Kjær, and Yuki Neoh.

The musical works incorporate live electronics and AI models to explore the creation of myths, visions, and personal confessions, sourcing texts as far back as from mystics Hildegard von Bingen and Juana Inés de la Cruz, all the way through post-singular AI-generated texts, situating historical figures and modern technology together as oracles and worldbuilders.

The album collection Ecstatic Visions will be commercially released on Neuma Records on 20 February 2026.
