Dates
Repertoire It's In The Trees, by Deborah Shaw
Description

Harpist/pianist Aurora Engine sculpts soundscapes from inside pianos and outside the mainstream. Collaborating with award-winning poet Ash Dickinson (‘Impressive wordplay’ (Times)). Cool, contemplative, comedic, they blend jazz, blues and spoken word into beguiling and immersive worlds. Scotsman-featured Aurora Engine draws from minotaurs, miniaturists and fallen horses to compose thrilling, spine-chilling music. Fusing traditional instruments with electronica , her voice and lyrics fascinate and beguile. Vocal aviaries, sonic trees,  soundscapes made from ocean waste make an imaginative and captivating sound pallete. Ash Dickinson is a multiple slam champion (BBC Radio, Cheltenham) twisting quick-fire rhymes and offbeat lines into truly imaginative stand-up poetry. ‘Clever and funny’ (Scotsman).
