Repertoire New music, by None sound
Description

soundfestival returns 25-29 October with an exciting lineup of composers and performers dedicated to adventurous new music-making.

This year’s festival welcomes back two champions of new music for the piano. Rolf Hind returns to perform pieces he commissioned during lockdown, and Christina McMaster creates spaces for deep relaxation and listening with her Lie down & Listen concert experience.

Chamber Choir Ireland perform their soundfestival debut, as will Elizabeth Hilliard with works by Irish composers for voice and electronics.

The festival also features performances from Red Note Ensemble including the premiere of a new commission from Norwegian composer Tine Surel Lange as part of a Scandinavian co-commission project, and FLOCK, Kathy Hinde’s interactive multimedia work for children. As well as Colin Riley’s new work for piano, film and live visuals, Ludic Inventions, a new work by Christopher Fox performed by GBSR duo, and a setting of Nan Shepherd’s work The Living Mountain by composer James Weeks performed by mezzo soprano Lucy Goddard and pianist Siwan Rhys, and much more!
