Submit your electronic compositions to be considered for the new composer development initiative celebrating the iconic composer’s 85th birthday.
PRS for Music is delighted to partner with Dunvagen Music Publishers, Orange Mountain Music and Robert Ames to offer a unique composer development opportunity for PRS members.
Inspired by the music of Philip Glass and celebrating his 85th year, we’re looking to give four emerging composers the opportunity to respond creatively to his work and engage with the theme of ‘refraction’.
Details of the commission
The successful composers will:
Be commissioned by Dunvagen Music Publishing to write an original 5 – 6 minute composition using Philip Glass source material
Be awarded a fee of £750 from Dunvagen Music Publishers for their composition
Have their finished compositions released on a digital EP by Orange Mountain Music – the record company created to serve the fans and aficionados of Philip Glass
In addition, the successful composers will receive:
A dedicated online mentoring session from Robert Ames, co-Artistic director of the London Contemporary Orchestra
