phoning it in

Deadline: 1 Jul 2024

Description

Hello!
I'm making a piece out of recordings of me performing my score, 'phoning it in' in various locations.
YOU are invited to take part too
and contribute to a collective audio portrait of phone boxes and their locations.
Thanking you kindly,
Stephen

**INVITATION**
1.) Record yourself performing the score below
2.) Take a photo of the phone box
3.) Include any additional comments on circumstances of recording: where/when (if the phone was not working/had been repurposed, etc.)
4.) Be careful out there
5.) Send me the result! (ajamroom AT gmail DOT com)
6.) All contributions will be fully and gratefully acknowledged in the final collection

The piece...

'phoning it in'
Should you have a mobile phone and
encounter a public telephone box, take
note of the number.
Start walking away from the box
stopping occasionally to call the
number.
See how far from the box you can walk
before the ringing of the phone
becomes inaudible.
Observe, listen.
If the phone is answered you may
engage in a conversation.
