Repertoire Nordic Music Days 2024 Programme, by Various Creators
Description

Festival of new music by creators from Scotland, Greenland, Iceland, Faroes, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and the Sami region. Running since 1888, this is the first time that the festival has come to Scotland. The performance programme includes concerts, installations, sound walks, film screenings, a photography exhibition, and a pop-up community choir project. Scottish performers include the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Red Note Ensemble, Hebrides Ensemble, Drake Music Scotland, Stephanie Lamprea, Joanna Nicholson, Hans Wilkes, David McGuinness, Ursula Levaux, Davur Juul Magnussen, John Kenny, RCS Brass, the Univeristy of Glasgow Chapel Choir, Catriona McKay, Chris Stout, Alistair MacDonald, Aidan O'Rourke, and the Scottish Ensemble. Nordic artists include Tobi Pfeil and Claudia Cox, defunensemble, Ensemble Temporum, Ánnámáret, KATA, Kristian Blak, LEMUR, Sören Hermanssen, Unni Løvlid, Marianne Baudouin Lie, Elefantöra, Tiina and Marko Hautala, Sivert Holmen.

The University of Glasgow hosts a 2 day conference looking at artistic practice, and the 3 day NordEX industry programme explores strategic and practical questions around the topics of Build, Sustain, and Connect.
