Repertoire sky dance, by Ailie Robertson; Carry His Relics, by Gemma McGregor
Description
The strings and wind of Nordic Viola present music from another time and place, linking the Northern Isles of Scotland to Faroe, Iceland and Greenland through the Orkneyinga Saga, timeless folk songs and the beauty and wildness of nature from Orkney to Greenland. There's a medical connection too, as Scottish composer Ailie Robertson studied genetics prior to becoming a full-time composer and harpist.
